8 steps for a front yard oasis
Clearing the existing hardscaping
The first step was stripping the garden back to a clean starting point.

Removing the lawn & levelling site
This stage was about reshaping the site, moving excess material to become garden beds.

Installing garden bed edging
Corten steel edging was installed to define the garden beds from the future gravel area.

Adding soil and habitat structures
New organic soil mixed with the clay soil created a soft loam that retains moisture and nutrients.

Creating the gravel parking area
Planting the native species

Gravel contains a mix of fine and larger particles, letting it to compact into a firm, stable surface.

Installing the irrigation system
Drip irrigation was laid throughout the garden beds and connected to an automatic tap timer.

Spreading mulch, the final touch
A generous mulch layer helps protect the newly improved soil, reduce evaporation, suppress emerging weeds.
